SFA Wins Opener 12-1

The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack softball team went 1-2 over the weekend after taking the first game of a three game series with Southeastern Louisiana by a 12-1 score. The Lady Lions came back to take both ends of a doubleheader Sunday, by scores of 4-3 and 3-2. With the losses, SFA fell below the .500 mark in Southland Conference play for the first time this season.
The Ladyjack bats exploded for a season high 12 runs in game one on 15 hits. Senior Angela Froboese led the charge as she went four for five at the plate with four runs scored and four RBIs. Froboese had two doubles and a triple in game one. The Katy senior wrapped up the series hitting .666 (8-12).
