SLU bounced back Sunday to take both games of a doubleheader, winning the first game 4-3. SFA held a 3-2 lead going into the seventh inning, but an error in the bottom of the seventh gave SLU the break they needed to push across the tying and winning runs with two outs.
The Lions jumped out to an early 3-1 in game three of the series and held on for the 3-2 win. OF Cassie Hinton hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh to bring the tying run to the plate for the Ladyjacks, but SLU shut down the SFA threat and closed out the series with the win.
The Ladyjacks retun to action Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Coy Simms Softball Complex, with a non-conference doubleheader against Louisiana Tech.
