NACOGDOCHES - Ladyjack Receives Academic Honor Junior outside hitter Angie Wood named to the academic all-district
NACOGDOCHES - Junior Angie Wood (Houston, Texas) was named Verizon Academic All-District second-team Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Wood is a mathematics major that is carrying a 3.45 grade-point average. She is one of 12 players named to the team. Wood played in all 107 games for the Ladyjacks and finished second on the team and third in the Southland Conference with 421 kills (3.93 kpg).
The Ladyjacks open play in the Southland Conference Championships Saturday in Beaumont, Texas as the number two seed. SFA will face the winner of the No. 3 McNeese State/No. 6 Texas-San Antonio.
