Ladyjacks' Wright Named Preseason All-SLC

Plano, Texas - Junior guard Nathesia Wright was named to the 2001 preseason All-Southland Conference first-team announced the league Friday.
Wright started 29 games for the Ladyjacks in 2000-01 and led the team in scoring (11.4 per game). She also averaged 4.1 rebounds per contest for SFA. She led the team in scoring nine different times, including a 29-point outburst against Lamar. Wright was the squad's top rebounder on eight different occasions and led them in assists once.
The Ladyjacks kickoff the 2001-02 season Tuesday, Nov. 6, against the Houston Jaguars. The game is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m., from the William R. Johnson Coliseum. The regular season will get underway for SFA on Friday, Nov. 9, against Florida International in the opening round of the Preseason Women's National Invitational Tournament. The game is scheduled to start at 7 (8 p.m. Nacogdoches time) p.m., from the Golden Panther Arena in Miami, Fla.
