Volleyball Releases 2000 Schedule

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack volleyball team has released their 2000 schedule. All matches will be played in the William R. Johnson Coliseum on the Stephen F. Austin State University campus.
The tournament portion of the Ladyjack's schedule begins September 1-2, in St. Louis where they will face Southeast Missouri, Southwest Missouri and St. Louis. Next, the Ladyjacks will travel to the Southern Methodist University Tournament September 8-9, where they will face Jackson State, the University of North Texas and Southern Methodist University.
Immediately following the Ladyjack's tournament schedule, they will open at home September 12, against longtime rival Sam Houston State University. This is also the beginning of Southland Conference play for the team. This will be a four match home-stand beginning September 12 and ending September 19 against Texas Christian University.
The Southland Conference Championship Tournament will be held in Beaumont, Texas November 16-18.
"We are excited about the 2000 schedule. Our two preseason tournaments should prepare us for the start of Southland Conference play. We will be playing teams from many different conferences, all of which have done well in their respective conferences," said coach Debbie Humphreys.
