Athletes Compete At The 2000 NCAA Outdoor Meet

DURHAM, North Carolina -- Stephen F. Austin Track and Field athletes Jennifer Hoppe and Adam Keul travelled to Durham, North Carolina to compete in the 2000 NCAA Outdoor Meet.
Hoppe, a senior heptathlete from Pearland, Texas qualified for the NCAA Championship meet March 16, at the Texas A&M Multi-Events Meet in College Station, Texas with 5,392 points. This was a new school record and her season best. Hoppe finished the NCAA Championship meet in 15th place and with 5,238 points. Hoppe was the only individual entered for the Southland Conference.
Adam Keul, a sophomore from Tyler, Texas, finished the meet in 15th place also. Keul vaulted 5.15M (16-10.75). At the Southland Conference Championship Meet May 14-16, Keul qualified for the NCAA Championships with a vault of 5.42M (17-09.25). This was a school record and Keul's season best.
