Chadwick Signs Twins To Play Basketball At SFA

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack basketball coach Royce Chadwick has signed two new faces to the program. Twin guards, Jessica and Nicole Guild from Tyler Junior College, have signed national letters of intent to join the Ladyjacks in the fall.
Jessica Guild has played in 27 games averaging 16.01 points per game. From the field she has shot 55% (104-188) and 53% (46-86) from the three-point line. Guild has also averaged 4.25 rebounds, five assists and 5.4 steals per game.
While at Tyler Junior College, Guild has been named a First Team Kodak All-American, First Team NJCAA All-American, a Co-MVP of the NJCAA National Tournament, the Region XIV Co-Freshman of the Year, a two-time All-Region team member and an All-Conference Academic team member.
"Jessica is one of the top junior college guards in the nation. She can shoot it, handle it and run a team. Her quickness and basketball skills make her a great potential player in our pressing-up tempo offense," said Royce Chadwick.
Nicole Guild has played in 32 games for the Apaches at Tyler Junior College. Guild has averaged 11.52 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.68 assists and 4.1 steals. From the field she has shot 55% (86-156) and 37% (44-117) from the three-point line.
Guild has been named a Co-MVP of the NJCAA National Tournament, Region XIV All-Conference team member and an Academic All-Conference team member.
"Nicole is a great guard with exceptional quickness and outstanding basketball skill. She has played for many years in a run and jump system, which prepares her for our style of play. She will be an impact player for our team," said Chadwick.
"These two young ladies display the heart of a champion. They are outstanding players and exceptional individuals. Ladyjack fans are in for a real treat when these two hit the city next fall," said Chadwick.
