Ladyjack Volleyball Falls To Texas-San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack volleyball team fell to Texas San Antonio in four games last night 7-15, 15-13, 14-16, 7-15. The match took two hours and eight minutes to play. The Ladyjacks are currently 13-10 overall and 9-5 in Southland Conference play.
Freshman, middle blocker Julie Goodson had a stunning night at the net. Goodson hit .500. She had eleven kills, 18 total attempts and only two errors. Goodson continued her success by accumulating one service ace, two assists, 11 digs and two block assists.
Junior, middle blocker Kristy Rhodes continued her success this season by hitting .400. Rhodes had 29 kills, 60 total attempts and five errors. She also had an astounding four blocks. One of those blocks was a solo and the remaining three were assisted. Rhodes is currently seventh in the nation for kills.
Junior, setter Marissa Dorcheus helped these two with 70 assists for the night. Dorcheus also had 14 digs. She is ranked fourth in the nation for assists this week.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action Saturday, October 28, at 7:00 PM in San Marcos, Texas as they face the Southwest Texas Bobcats. The next home match will be Tuesday, October 31 at 7:00 p.m. in Shelton Gym. The Ladyjacks will be facing Texas-Arlington. Come dressed for Halloween.
