
Ladyjack Volleyball On A Three-Game Winning Streak

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack volleyball team continued its winning streak as they defeated Southeastern Louisiana in three games today 15-6, 15-9, 15-4. The Ladyjacks are currently 13-9 overall and 9-4 in Southland Conference play.
The Ladyjacks were led by sophomore, outside hitter Angie Wood. Wood hit .500 for the match with eight kills, 12 total attempts and only two errors. Wood was helped by her teammate junior, setter Marissa Dorcheus. Dorcheus had 44 assists.
Three Ladyjacks went into double digits in the digs category. These individuals included senior Jenny Orndorff with 13, sophomore Sunni Williams with 12 and junior Kristy Rhodes with 13.
At the net the Ladyjacks accumulated nine total blocks. Sophomore, Jennifer Wilson led her team in blocks with three. Two of those blocks were assisted and one was a solo block. Wilson is currently leading her team in blocks with 12 overall for the 2000 season.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action October 26, at 7:00 PM in Arlington, Texas as they face the University of Texas at Arlington. The next home match will be on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31 at 7:00PM in Shelton Gym. The Ladyjacks will be facing The University of Texas at Arlington.
