Brystal comes to The Piney Woods of SFA from Ogdensburg, Wisconsin. She is the daughter of Matt and Jennie Beyer and younger sister to Carlene Beyer who is a Ladyjack as well. She has been bowling since she was only 5 years old and holds a high game of 280 and high series of 735. Before her time here at SFA, she accomplished a high average of 210 and has won multiple Junior Bowlers Scholarship Tour titles. While attending Little Wolf Jr/Sr High School, she was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated with honors. On the bowling side of things in high school, she won the 2019 Wisconsin Singles State Championship along with the 2021 Sean Yonan Tournament.
Brystal is currently one of the best bowlers in the nation. Brystal has a 87.514% in the NTCA’s Player Composite Performance Index (PCPI), placing her 29th. She is also 6th in the nation in Overall Single Pin Spare Percentage (94.9% in 273 attempts), 9th in Overall Makeable Spare Conversion Percentage (88.1% in 464 attempts), and 5th in Baker Makeable Spare Conversion Percentage (89.7% in 290 attempts).
In the 2021-22 season Brystal was named to the NTCA All-Rookie Second Team. She was a part of the 2022 National Runner up team and the 2022 ITC National Championship Team. She has also accomplished 2024 NTAC All-American 3rd team, 2024 C-USA All-Conference 3rd Team, and 2024 NCBCA All-American Honorable Mention. She is also a team member of Junior Team USA 2024.
While attending SFA, Brystal will be pursuing a degree in General Business.
Brystal is the daughter of Matt and Jennie Beyer and has one sister Carlene.
