Prior to SFA
Carlen comes to SFA from Allen, Texas and has been bowling since she was four years old. Carlen is a Junior at SFA majoring in Computer Science. She is the daughter of Paul and Elaine Gattenby and is sister to Isaac and Nicole. Carlen bowled a perfect game at the Texas State Tournament and has an all time series of 754. While attending Allen High School, Carlen won the Texas High School Girls State Championship her junior year. During her senior year, Carlen collected a fourth place finish at High School Nationals. In addition to her accolades tied to Allen High School, Carlen also has a number of personal accolades to her name. Firstly, she won the 2020 Pepsi State Championships and the Fourth Annual Ed Calcote Memorial Scholarship Tournament. In 2022, Carlen was awarded Miss Dallas Youth and was also named to the Greater Dallas Youth Bowler of the Year and was named to the Greater Dallas USBC All Star Team.
