Sam is entering his second year with the Lumberjacks golf team. Sam is a native of Muscle Shoals, Alabama and transferred to SFA from the University of North Georgia.

Personal:
Sam is the son to Lisa and Derrick Gargis. His father Derrick played baseball at Wallace State Community College form 1986-88. During his free time Sam likes to spend time on his boat in the Florida Keys. During his time at SFA, Sam will pursue a degree in business management.
