High School | A highly regarded four-sport athlete at Edgewood High School, helped the Bulldogs embark on many a postseason run through his four-year prep career...Earned four letters while playing shortstop and catcher through the years for head coach Jason Seale...As a freshman, helped his squad collect a district title and move on to the state semifinals...Earned First Team All-District as well as All-State recognition for his work at shortstop that season...Shifted to catcher as a sophomore and was bestowed with District Defensive MVP and All-State honors while helping his squad capture a district crown...Moved back to shortstop for his final two seasons as a prep and grabbed District Defensive MVP (junior) and District MVP (senior) honors in addition to another pair of All-State nods...In all, helped the Bulldogs collect four district titles, two spots in the regional quarterfinals and one trip to the regional semifinals...As a quarterback, amassed a pair of First Team All-District nods and one District Offensive MVP citation while leading his squad to a pair of district titles...As a member of the Bulldogs' basketball team, was a two-time District MVP and earned All-Region and All-State laurels as a senior...Was also a four-time district champion in basketball...Spent the first three seasons of his high school career as a member of the track & field team, specializing in the high jump and triple jump...Earned a ticket to the regional finals in the high jump as a freshman and another in the triple jump during his junior year...Played club baseball for Team Rawlings, helping the squad earn an Elite 32 title and a Road to Memphis crown.
