Jacks Crack AFCA Top 10, Remain Inside Stats Perform Top 15

SFA climbs two spots in coaches poll; four SLC teams among programs ranked or receiving votes following Week 1
NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin football climbed two spots and into the top 10 nationally in Tuesday's latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) FCS Top 25 poll and held strong at its preseason nod in Monday's recent Stats Perform FCS Top 25. The Lumberjacks enter Week 2 ranked No. 9 in the AFCA poll and are at No. 13 in the Stats Perform rankings for the third-consecutive poll.
Three other Southland Conference teams are ranked or receiving votes in this week's AFCA poll with four teams among the rankings in the Stats Perform poll. The Jacks' Saturday night matchup with #23/25 Abilene Christian is one of only two top 25 tilts among FCS teams this week. Additionally, Prairie View (RV Stats Perform, RV AFCA), SFA's Week 3 foe is receiving votes in both polls.
