SFA Tennis earns individual and team academic honors
NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its 2026 Scholar-Athletes and Academic Team list on Monday. Five Ladyjacks earned Scholar-Athlete honors, and SFA was named to the Academic Team list.
Sonja Rooth, Jemma Cave, Ksenia Mamontova, Alkmini Giannakogiorgou, and Avery Kinsey all earned Scholar-Athlete honors. To be eligible, student-athletes must have a GPA of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale during the current academic year.
SFA was also recognized on the ITA Academic Team list. To qualify, institutions must have earned a team GPA of at least 3.20 on a 4.00 scale during the current academic year.
