SFA looks to battle against Missouri State, ULM, and Tarleton in weekend clash
NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin Sandyjacks beach volleyball team travels to Monroe for their weekend battle, starting with Missouri State and ULM on Friday, March 13, and concluding with Tarleton State on Saturday, March 14.
SCOUTING MISSOURI STATE
· Last time out, SFA and Missouri State recorded their first meeting in 2022, where SFA took a 3-2 victory to pull ahead 1-0 in the series.
· The Bears currently remain 8-0 in the year.
· Missouri State has outscored its opponents 33-2 this season in eight matches.
· In their last match, Missouri State defeated Lindenwood in a 5-0 victory, with four of the five matches being clean sweeps for the Bears.
· The Bears and Sandyjacks start off the Bayou Bash, facing off at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
SCOUTING ULM
· The Warhawks are ready for the ULM Bayou Bash, entering the weekend with a 1-7 record.
· The Sandyjacks aim to even the series history, as ULM currently leads 4-3.
· Last match, SFA captured the 3-2 victory in a reverse sweep of the Warhawks in 2025.
· In the Warhawks' last matchup, ULM was crushed in a 5-0 loss to LSU.
· ULM has been outscored 8-31 in eight matches.
· The Warhawks' one win on the season came from a 3-2 dogfight against Sam Houston.
