SFA Wraps Up Play at Texas State Invitational

Fields and Dickens lead Day One with 17 pars and three birdies.
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin women's golf team concluded their rounds at the Texas State Invitational at the Landa Park Golf Course from Monday, February 2, to Tuesday, February 3.
DAY ONE
Rounds one and two concluded on day one as Avree Fields led the Lumberjacks in round one, shooting +8 over par. Fields scorecard was highlighted with eight pars and two birdies. Marley Dickens led SFA in round two, shooting +7 with nine pars and one birdie on the ninth hole. Fields also recorded seven consecutive pars from hole four to 10.
DAY TWO
Avree Fields and Taryn Clayton ended the round both at +8, leading SFA. They combined for two birdies and 17 pars. In round three, SFA notched four birdies as a team, as Clayton accounted for half.
SFA finished the event at +123 and was ranked 15th out of 15 teams participating.
NEXT UP
The 'Jacks now head to Abilene, Texas, on March 2 for their match at the ACU West Texas Classic.
