Luke Stuart Named Director of Operations for SFA Men's Basketball

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - First-year Stephen F. Austin head men's basketball coach Matt Braeuer has announced the hiring of Luke Stuart as the program's new Director of Operations.
Stuart spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant at the University of North Texas. He helped the Mean Green to a school record 17-1 home record and an NIT Final Four appearance in 2024-25. He graduated from UNT with a master's in higher education. Prior to North Texas, Stuart spent the 2022-23 season as a graduate assistant for UTSA's men's basketball program.
Stuart was a guard on Trinty University's men's basketball team. He played the 2020-21 season under new Lumberjacks associate head coach Jimmy Smith, helping guide the team to a conference regular season championship. He graduated from Trinity with a bachelor's degree in environmental geoscience.
Stuart is a native of Lubbock, Texas. He earned first team all-state honors at All Saints Episcopal School, leading his team to a state championship as a senior in 2018.
