SFA Athletics to Host "Axe 'Em Splash" Presented by SQRE Solutions on August 22

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin Athletics is excited to announce Axe 'Em Splash presented by SQRE Solutions, a special student-only event set to take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, immediately following Holler at Homer at Homer Bryce Stadium.
As the Lumberjack community kicks off the fall semester, students are invited to join the fun on the field for a one-of-a-kind splash bash under the lights. Axe 'Em Splash will feature water slides, dunk tank, music, giveaways, and free refreshments—all designed to help students cool off and celebrate the start of the 2025-26 academic year.
Event Details:
· What: Axe 'Em Splash presented by SQRE Solutions
· When: Friday, August 22, 2025 – Immediately after Holler at Homer
· Where: On the field at Homer Bryce Stadium
· Who: Open to all current SFA students
"We're thrilled to give students a fun and unforgettable experience to kick off the year," said SFA Senior Associate AD for External Operations Jessica Dorsey. "Thanks to our partners at SQRE Solutions, Axe 'Em Splash will take student engagement to the next level."
Holler at Homer, introduces students to the SFA traditions and the event to receive their axe handles, begins at 8:00 p.m. Axe 'Em Splash will follow directly afterward as the celebration continues on the turf.
Students are encouraged to wear swimwear or quick-dry athletic gear and bring a towel.
