Four ‘Jacks Find Spots on FCS Football Central Preseason All-American Teams

Vidlak, Harris highlight SFA offense with second-team selections; Demmings, Bobino represent Lumberjack defense
NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Sports Illustrated's FCS Football Central dropped its preseason All-American teams on Thursday and among the honorees are four Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack senior student-athletes. Quarterback Sam Vidlak and wide receiver Kylon Harris represented the explosive 'Jack offense as second team selections, while defensive back Charles Demmings also received second team distinction with defensive lineman Ed Bobino III earning third team recognition.
The 2025 edition of the outlet's squad features 113 players across first, second and third teams with each team including offensive, defensive and special teams performers. Fifty-one programs across 13 FCS conferences are represented with 14 selections from the Southland Conference.
Second Team Offense
QB – Sam Vidlak (Stephen F. Austin)
Tossed for 2,387 yards on 174-of-257 passing and 27 TDs in 2024…Led the SLC in passing efficiency (177.3), completion percentage (67.7), points responsible for/game (18.0) and yards per attempt (9.29)…Named SLC Newcomer of the Year and a finalist for Walter Payton Award last fall…
