'Jacks Travel to College Station to Compete at the A&M Alumni Muster

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks Track and Field team will head to College Station, Texas, this weekend to compete at the A&M Alumni Muster, hosted by Texas A&M.
The 'Jacks are coming off a successful meet last weekend, when they had 21 athletes earn top ten finishes. 12 women and nine men placed in the top ten at the J. Fred Duckett Meet last weekend, hosted by Rice University. Head Coach Robert Hansen mentions that this meet will be a good test for the Lumberjacks. "We head to A&M Saturday morning to compete against 18 teams from Power Four conferences, and half the SLC is going to be there." Said Hansen. "It will be a nice conference preview for us in a lot of ways. We always aim to be battle-tested, and the field here is going to prepare us for the postseason!"
This will be a one-day event, as all the action will take place on Saturday, May 3rd. The women's 5,000 meters will kick off the event at 9:00 a.m. and the men's 4x400-meter relay will be the last event, scheduled to start at 6:56 p.m.
