Ladyjacks Axe Lions to Advance to the SLC Semifinals

THIBODAUX, La.- The Stephen F. Austin tennis team (15-6) faced off against No. 7 seeded Southeastern Louisiana (14-9) in the quarterfinals.
SFA secured the doubles point in dominate fashion as Jemma Cave and Ana Paula Chávez won 6-1 followed by Felicia Back and Sonja Rooth who clinched with a 6-3 victory. Thanks to three sweeps in singles play from Chávez, Antonella Taco, and Ksenia Mamontova the 'Jacks secured a 4-0 win. Mamontova played a pivotal role as she won her first set 6-1 but was down 5-1 in the second set and rattled off six straight to secure the fourth point for SFA.
