Lumberjacks Track and Field Head to Waco to Open Outdoor Season

WACO, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Track and Field team will head to Waco this weekend to compete in the Clyde Hart Classic. This will be a one-day event, with all the action taking place on Saturday, March 22nd. The action starts at 10 a.m., with the men's weight throw and high jump and the women's javelin kicking off the event. The event ends with the men's 4x400 relay, projected to start at 5:45 p.m.
Head Coach Robert Hansen is excited to see how his squad performs after the men won the Southland Indoor Championship earlier this month. "Heading to Waco this weekend is the perfect opportunity for us to open our outdoor season." Said Hansen. "We'll see competitive fields across all the event groups and the weather should be perfect for us to hit some strong early marks!"
SFA will have a quick turnaround after the Clyde Hart Classic, as they head to Austin next week to compete in the Texas Relays. The event will start on Wednesday, March 26th and go until Saturday, March 29th.
