Ladyjack Bowling Announces their 2024-2025 Schedule
9/4/2024 12:00:00 PM | Women's Bowling
Ending the 2023-24 season as the #13 team in the nation, the Ladyjacks are set to compete in eight regular season tournaments, and two USBC events, before returning to Conference USA Bowling Championships in late March. Last year all nine teams participating in the Championships were ranked in the top 25 in the nation.
Earlier this summer, Wichita State women's bowling program officially became an NCAA Division One program, joining Conference USA as an affiliate member for the 2024-25 season. The Shockers have won a record 11 Intercollegiate Team Championship (ITC) national titles, most recently in 2024 when WSU defeated NCAA champion Jacksonville State.
The Ladyjacks will kick off their season close to home in Fort Worth, Texas from October 5th-6th. They will participate in the SWIBC, where last year 6 Ladyjacks made All-Tournament teams.
SFA will then head to the Sunshine State for the 2024 Destination Orlando Sunshine Classic in Florida from October 18th-20th. Last year, SFA had monumental (or magical) moments last year with Julianna Kerrigan rolling the first perfect game in Traditional Play and scoring the highest Traditional Matchplay total ever recorded in their 1,252-1010 victory over Youngstown State University.
In a return to former schedules, the 'Jacks will head to Houston for the Kat Klash host by Sam Houston State from November 1st-3rd.
They will then head up North to Wisconsin and host the SFA Ladyjack Invitational from November 8th-10th. They will recognize their seniors during the invitational.
Rounding out the fall portion of the schedule, SFA will head to the Colonial Lanes Classic hosted by Tulane from November 15th-17th.
Starting off the new year, the team will travel east for Sacred Heart's Northeast Classic in Deptford, N.J., January 17th-19th.
The Ladyjacks will return to the Midwest competing in the Flyer Classic hosted by Lewis University in Illinois from February 7th-9th.
SFA will hit the road February 14th-16th to Jonesboro, Arkansas to compete at the Mid-Winter Invitational hosted by Arkansas State.
The USBC Sectionals will take place March 7th-9th. More details will be announced closer to that date. SFA will finish the regular season at the Colombia 300 Music City Classic in Smryna, Tennessee hosted by Vanderbilt University.
Heading into the post-season, the 'Jacks will compete in the second Conference USA Bowling Championships from March 20th-23rd.
SFA will look to make another deep postseason run by qualifying for the NCAA Regionals April 4th-5th. That location will be varying results. Having winning ways there will lead the Ladyjacks to Las Vegas, Nevada for a chance to compete for the 2024 NCAA National Title from April 11th-12th.
The USBC Champioships will follow after the NCAA National Championship.
