DAYTONA, FL - The SFA Dance Team returns from the 2024 NDA National Championships with hardware, as the Lumberjacks won their 21st overall championship with their pom routine and their 22nd overall championship with their team performance.

In the Jazz Division 1 Prelims, SFA finished eighth overall with a score of 89.5429 and had 0 deductions. For the finals, the Lumberjacks scored 89.7143, finishing 10th overall.
Head Dance Team Coach TJ Maple, had this to say on the end of his season.
"The ability to continuously have a target on our backs at nationals each year and to still be in the winners circle is more remarkable that anyone truly knows. We strive for excellence in all facets of what we do and while we may come up short in areas throughout the year we still try to continue to grow and learn how to leave our mark. Our dancers work hard supporting other sports, in the classroom, in the community, on campus and yet still maintain the ability and energy to compete at the highest caliber year after year. I would be lying if I said that winning is easy. It is not though when you get one shot to show all that you have in two minutes! But as always the journey is what we hold near and dear to our hearts. The unique relationships we share and the accountability we have as a team is more rewarding than a championship trophy. Don't get me wrong, being called into first place is never a feeling that gets old because the amount of challenges we face year to year are never small and it is never truly easy but it continues to change us and for that we are grateful."
