Matthews, La- The Stephen F. Austin men's golf team finished in fifth place overall at the La Tour Intercollegiate. The men finished +6 over par with 870 total strokes.
Eyan Edsall and Sam Gargis were the top finishers for the Lumberjacks. Both men finished tied for 21st shooting even par for the tournament and 216 total strokes. Matthew Hewitt finished tied for 26th at +1 over par and 217 total strokes. Carter Patterson finished tied for 44th at +9 over par with 225 total strokes. Cameron Hubbard finished in 50th at +11 over par with 227 total strokes. Michael Rasmussen competed as an individual and finished tied for 56th at +14 over par with 230 total strokes.
The men will be back in action for their final tournament of the Fall next weekend, October 28th-29th in Houston, Texas, as they compete in the HCU Husky Invitational.
