Villanueva named SFA Assistant Baseball Coach

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin baseball program is excited to announce the hiring of Richie Villanueva as an Assistant Coach.
"We really feel like Richie is going to be a huge addition to our staff. His ability to develop pitchers is going to be key to our success moving forward. We are extremely excited to add him to our staff." said SFA Baseball Head Coach, Johnny Cardenas.
Villanueva is excited to be back in Nac.
"I am excited to be back home with the Jacks and get rolling with the coaching staff and players. I am ready to do whatever it takes to help out and have a great year. Axe Em!" added Villanueva.
Villanueva spent the past three years at Pratt Community College where he coached three all-conference players and sent 10 to the next level. Prior to his time at Pratt, he worked at Quitman ISD as a pitching and infield coach from 2017 to 2019.
