
SFA Bowling Punches Ticket to NCAA Tournament

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin bowling team's march toward the NCAA Women's Bowling Championship will begin against No. 4 seed Sam Houston as the Ladyjacks learned the first leg of their journey this afternoon during the NCAA's Bowling Championship Selection Show.
"Really excited to once again represent Stephen F. Austin in the NCAA tournament and showcase our great University and bowling program on a national level," said SFA head coach Amber Lemke. "We are excited to compete for our third national championship."
SFA has won two national championships, winning in 2019 and 2016. The Ladyjacks also qualified for the NCAA tournament in 2015, 2017 and 2019.
The Ladyjacks earned an at-large bid to the dance after a successful regular season with eight top-five finishes in tournaments this season. SFA holds a 63-40 record and sits in second in the league in overall spare percentage (71.53), third in team scoring average (20.124), team fill percentage (85.41) and fifth in team strike percentage (48.75).
