
SFA Defeats CSU and Improves to 13-0 in WAC

CHICAGO, Ill. – Aiyana Johnson dropped a game-high 21 points and Stephen F. Austin routed Chicago State 73-49 in Western Athletic Conference action.
SFA improved to 22-3 overall and 13-0 in WAC play, while CSU fell to 4-18 and 3-10 in conference competition.
As a team, the Ladyjacks shot 50 percent (27-for-54) from the field, while holding the Cougars to 38.8 percent (19-for-49) and to 29 percent from the floor (7-for-24) in the second half.
SFA forced CSU into 24 turnovers, which was promptly turned into 22 points.
Stephanie Visscher added 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the floor and grabbed nine rebounds while recording a game-high four steals.
Tasharian Robinson finished with 11 points and Zya Nugent added six points.
The Ladyjacks return to the hardwood Saturday and play host to Lamar at 2 p.m. The Purple and White look to extend its NCAA leading home-winning streak to 37 games.
