Avery Brittingham Records Her First Triple-Double as SFA Cruises Past Texas Southern

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- Stephen F. Austin defeated Texas Southern University 100-63 Sunday afternoon. SFA improves to 2-1 while TSU falls to 0-3.
Texas Southern scored a three-pointer to open the game, but then SFA scored the next two buckets to take the lead and they never looked back as they cruised to a 100-63 victory. The largest lead the Ladyjacks held was 41 points in the fourth quarter.
SFA led TSU in almost every stat category including; points in the paint (58-16), points off of turnovers (23-15), second chance points (15-7), bench points (41-14), field goal percentage (56.7-29.2), three point percentage (50.0-23.8), and free throw percentage (84.2-80.0).
Kurstyn Harden led the scoring for the Ladyjacks with 20, followed by Angel Scott who recorded 18. Avery Brittingham had a spectacular performance with a triple-double as she led the team in rebounds and assists, which are also career highs for her. Brittingham's triple-double with 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists is the first triple-double in at least 13 years and is the first documented one as of now.
The Ladyjacks will travel to Denton, Texas to face the Mean Green from North Texas on Wednesday, November 17th at 6:30 p.m.
