LAS VEGAS, Nevada --
Chloe Skurzynski of SFA Bowling has been named to Team USA in 2022 after claiming the U.S. National Amateur Bowling Championship title on Friday as the nation's best women's non-professional. She defeated Daniella Jedlicki of Murfreesboro, Tennessee 184-179 to land an automatic spot, coming out victorious in the final frame.
"I've looked up to so many of these players since I starting bowling, and I never pictured myself in a place where I'd be shoulder to shoulder with them wearing this Team USA jacket," Skurzynski told United States Bowling Congress. "I'm most looking forward to the experience of all the practicing and all the knowledge I know I'm going to gain bowling alongside the best bowlers in the world."
All 286 competitors at the 2022 Team USA Trials bowled 30 games over five days. Each day featured a different lane condition, ranging from 36-45 feet, with different volumes of oil for the men and women. (United States Bowling Congress)
"Chloe has been a tremendous asset to SFA," said Head Coach Amber Lemke. "She has a huge heart and super competitive package that makes her special. We are extremely excited to see her make Team USA. No matter the sport you play, representing our country is a huge honor and achievement. We look forward to seeing Chloe grow and accomplish her dreams!"
Chloe is the second Ladyjack to win the title, as Stephanie Schwartz earned her way to the national stage where she was a Ladyjack from 2014-2018.
