It is September 1, and in the country I come from, Belgium, today is the start of the first day of school for most students. I myself, on the other hand, started my senior year here at SFA two weeks earlier. It is always a little strange when I think about being a senior this year. I still can't quite wrap my head around how fast time goes when you are having fun. In these three years at SFA, I have been surrounded by the most helpful, enthusiastic and caring people.
SFA has given me the opportunity to experience this amazing adventure and I am very grateful for that. Furthermore, I personally find it very fun to play for your team as well. Tennis is a fairly individual sport, but through this concept you really play for each other. You really want to become a better player for your yourself and your teammates.
However, our season starts in the spring, so for now we have plenty of time to prepare ourselves to be completely ready by then, especially with being in a new conference like the WAC. I am really looking forward to enjoy one more year as a student-athlete and make the best out of it, hopefully a conference ring!
