
Ladyjacks Get Back to Winning Ways Against Southeastern La.

The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks finished off non-conference play Monday afternoon with a dominant 70-38 victory at home against Southeastern Louisiana. The 42-point thrashing is the teams' 8th win of 20+ points. The 'Jacks will head into their inaugural WAC matchup with a 9-3 record.
The 'Jacks set the tone early as they jumped out to a 9-0 lead just four minutes into the game. They continued to control the game as they only allowed the opponents to score 4 points in the first quarter on 2-11 shooting. The Ladyjacks took a comfortable 31-14 lead into the break and didn't let up coming out of the locker room, as they outscored the Lions 39-24 in the second half to seal the win.
Aiyana Johnson (6-8 FG) and Avery Brittingham (3-5 FG) led the 'Jacks in scoring with 14 points each. Johnson added 8 rebounds and a couple of blocks while Brittingham grabbed 6 boards of her own with a steal. Stephanie Visscher added yet another efficient performance to her resume with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
Kellogg's squad shot 48% from the floor and outscored the Lions 36-16 in the paint. The 'Jacks also turned 23 turnovers into 19 points as they continue to dominate in that category. They currently sit at 2nd in the nation in turnovers forced per game with 25.5 and lead the nation in total turnovers with 306.
The 'Jacks will kick off conference play on the road with a matchup with UTRGV in Edinburg, Texas. The game will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30th.
