Todd's Nine-Strikeout Performance Leads SFA Past SIU-Edwardsville 13-1

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Junior Joe Todd dominated on Saturday, fanning nine SIU-Edwardsville hitters over six innings of work to help lead the SFA 'Jacks past the Cougars 13-1.
In addition to his nine strikeouts, Todd (1-1) tossed six innings, giving up one run on three hits and walking none for SFA (3-3). Senior Joseph Sgambelluri also made an impact on the mound for the 'Jacks, throwing two shutout innings while allowing no hits, with one walk and four strikeouts.
Junior Jake Zarrello led the way offensively for the 'Jacks, going 3-for-4 in the ballgame with a grand slam, a walk and five RBIs. Junior Kyle Cullen provided a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 1-for-3 with a double, two walks and two RBIs. Freshman Gabe Irwin also chipped in, going 1-for-1 for SFA with a double, a walk and an RBI.
