SFA Moves Up to Fifth at La Tour Intercollegiate in Final Round

MATHEWS, La. -- The SFA men's golf team carded a score of 274 in the final round of the La Tour Intercollegiate on Tuesday, sliding up into fifth place overall after beginning the day in seventh. The Lumberjacks finished with a final team score of 839 (-25), finishing ahead of Southland foes Nicholls State, McNeese, Houston Baptist, Incarnate Word, New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana.
SFA moved up in the team standings thanks to a trio of golfers who finished the day under 70 in the final round, led by Alec Brown with a 67. Brown finished the tournament tied for ninth among individuals with a 208 (-8), while teammate Steven Fabik finished tied for 14th with a score of 210 (-6), having carded a 68 in the final round.
Johannes Gudmunsson carded a 70 to finish with a score of 216 (E), while Maxime LeClerc shot a 69 in the final round and finished with a 216 (E). Isiah Henderson rounded out the Lumberjack lineup with a score of 72-71-76-219 (+3).
