NATCHITOCHES, La. – The SFA Track and Field team didn't let a change of scenery get in the way of putting forward some great performances on Friday, securing 11 event wins, a new school record and several conference-best marks at the Leon Johnson Invitational. The one day event began with field events in the morning and led into the running events in the afternoon and evening.
EVENT WINNERS
• Drake Murphy took first in the men's 800m run with a time of 1:48.65.
• Trenton Bridges, competing unattached, took the top spot in the men's discus with a mark of 53.94m (177-0).
• Kevin Steward won the men's shot put with a mark of 16.63m (54-06.75).
• Branson Ellis was the men's pole vault winner with a height of 5.20m (17-00.75).
• Maggie Okul won the women's hammer throw with a distance of 53.68m (176-01).
• Cord Neal's mark of 62.00m (203-05) in the javelin throw was the top mark in the event.
• AJ Bennett won the men's 400m dash with a time of 47.20.
• Madison Compass' time of 2:14.24 in the 800m run was tops among the women's field.
• Imani Nave finished first in the women's 200m dash with a time of 24.39.
• JaShaun Cook finished second in the men's high jump with a height of 1.95m (6-04.75).
• Nastassja Campbell's mark of 4.13m (13-06.50) was good for the top mark in the women's pole vault.
• In the women's 4x400 relay, Cayla Burch, Dominique Jackson, Aaliyah Teel and Imani Nave won the race with a mark of 3:42.70.
• The SFA men's 4x400 relay team of AJ Bennett, Antonio Ruiz, AJ Bennett and Drake Murphy won the event with a time of 3:11.62.

• Kevin Steward finished second in the men's discus with a distance of 53.72m (176-03).
• Avery Ellis-Byerly finished fourth in the women's shot put, reaching a mark of 13.05m (42-09.75).
• Hunter Krc and Tyler Stafford tied for second in the pole vault with a height of 4.75m (15-07).
• Bellodgia Roberson finished fourth in the hammer throw, throwing to a distance of 46.56m (152-09).
• The women's 4x100 relay team of Cayla Burch, Asia Giles, Dominique Jackson and Imani Nave finished third with a time of 45.87.
• The men's 4x100 relay of Antonio Ruiz, Kortlon Erskine, Jacob Thomas and Jordan Washington finished fifth with a time of 44.22.
• Jillian Turner took second in the women's 100m hurdles with a mark of 14.35, while Caitlin Lennon finished fourth at 14.71.
• Jordan Washington finished fourth with a time of 14.94 in the men's 110 meter hurdles.
• Cayla Burch took second in the 400m dash with a time of 53.77, while Aaliyah Teel was fourth with a time of 56.31.
• Isaiah Pittman took second in the 400m dash with a mark of 48.58.
• Aaron Piper took second in the 100m dash with a time of 10.59 while competing unattached.
• Allison Compass took fourth in the women's 800m run with a time of 2:20.13.
• Ashton Callahan finished fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 21.57.
• A trio of Ladyjacks finished in the top four in the women's 400m hurdles, as Dominique Jackson, Kinsey Smith and Sammi Brashears took second, third and fourth overall.
• Jordan Washington notched a second-place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.57.
