MATTHEWS, La. – Following the opening 18 holes of play at the LaTour Golf Club in Matthews, Louisiana, the SFA men's golf team led the LaTour Intercollegiate after shooting a 6-over 294 in the first round. After shooting a 1-over 73 in the morning's opening round, Leyvani notched a 1-under 71 on the second 18 holes of play, while Hendrix chipped off four strokes between his first and second rounds with scores of 2-over 74 and 2-under 70.

Every Lumberjack sits within the top 35 as freshman Isiah Henderson recorded a 10-over 154 in the first two rounds to stand tied for 35th.
With a heavy Southland Conference flavor and hosted by fellow league member Nicholls, SFA owns a tie through the first 36 holes with the University of the Incarnate Word. The 'Jacks and Cardinals are four strokes behind Southeastern Louisiana and Samford, who are tied for second with two-round totals of 9-over 585.
