• Back at home for the final time in 2019, the SFA football team continues Southland Conference play by playing host to defending league champion Incarnate Word at Homer Bryce Stadium Saturday afternoon.
• Saturday's home finale will also serve as the final home appearance for each of the 'Jacks' 15 seniors.
• Taaj Bakari. Romello Bentley, Jake Blumrick, Teddy Britton, A.J. Brown, Lar'Darion Cobb. Thomas Hutchings, Anthony Jacobs, Quin Jones, Collin LaGarde, Chett Munden, Tamrick Pace, Storm Ruiz, Gary Sampson, Josh Weeks and Cody Williams will all be suiting up for their final games at Homer Bryce Stadium.

• For the first time since last March, the SFA men's basketball returns to action as the 'Jacks are set to open their 2019-20 campaign this week with a pair of home contests. SFA tangles with LeTourneau Wednesday night in its season opener before hosting North Carolina Central Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
• Senior Kevon Harris earned Preseason All-Southland accolades and will lead the 'Jacks in his final collegiate campaign. The Ellenwood, Ga., product averaged 17.8 points last season and enters the year ranked 15th on SFA's all-time scoring charts.
• The 'Jacks feature 12 new players on their roster, making them one of the most newcomer-laden teams on the NCAA Division I men's basketball scene.

• Back in the Southland Conference Tournament field for the 17th-straight season, the SFA soccer team heads to Conway, Ark., with an upset in mind as they challenge top-seeded and 2019 Southland regular season champion Lamar in a quarterfinal match Wednesday afternoon.
• SFA punched its ticket to the Southland Conference Tournament with a 2-1 victory at Sam Houston State Friday night in which junior midfielder Sophia Fondren assisted on both of the Ladyjacks' goals.
• Monday afternoon, Fondren and redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Madeline Talbot each earned spots on the All-Southland Conference Second Team while junior midfielder Katelyn Termini claimed All-Southland Conference First Team honors as the league unveiled its list of All-Southland Conference honorees.
• The Ladyjacks own a 17-14-4 all-time record in Southland Conference Tournament action and have advanced to the championship match in each of the last four seasons.
• If SFA defeats Lamar, it will move on to the semifinal round of the tournament and take on either Texas A&M-Corpus Christi or Incarnate Word at 7:00 p.m. Friday night.

• Down to four regular season matches on its schedule, the league-leading SFA volleyball team wraps up a three-match road trip this week by heading to Corpus Christi and San Antonio for another pair of Southland showdowns. First up is a Thursday evening battle at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi where the Ladyjacks put their 17-match winning streak on the line against the Islanders' eight-match unbeaten run.
• The Ladyjacks' saw their RPI rise to a program-best 35 in the latest edition of the rankings which were released by the NCAA Monday morning. SFA's previous best RPI was 37 during the first release of 2019.
• Monday afternoon's latest edition of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division I Coaches Poll saw the Ladyjacks pick up 36 votes - the 28th-most in the nation. It's the seventh-straight week in which the Ladyjacks have been receiving votes in the AVCA poll.

• Gearing up for season five in charge at SFA, head coach Mark Kellogg leads the Ladyjacks to Tulsa, Okla., for their season-opening showdown with the Golden Hurricane Tuesday night. SFA is led by seniors Kennedy Harris and Riley Harvey and are seeking both a regular season Southland Conference title as well as a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
• SFA was picked for a runner-up finish in the Southland Conference Preseason Poll, receiving 255 total points as well as nine first-place votes.
• The Ladyjacks have won 25 games each of the last three seasons and are currently the owners of the nation's fourth-longest active home court winning streak. SFA went a perfect 17-0 at home last season and only Iowa (21 games), Baylor (39 games) and UConn (94 games) own longer home-court winning streaks than SFA.
