LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Freshman Sloane Bennett leads the Ladyjacks into the final round shooting 7-over 151 through two rounds and found herself tied for 23rd in the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational.
Freshman Kate Dishman (15-over 159) went 5-over 77 Tuesday and joined senior Alexandra Batista (13-over 157) and fellow freshman Karina Benavides (15-over 159) in the middle of the pack of the 100-woman field.
The Ladyjacks (60-over 636) improved their round one score by four strokes in round two and currently reside in 16th place.
Kelly Yang (16-over 160) is competing as an individual for this event.
Senior Paola Cortes and sophomore Zayda Cedillo (28-over 172) both found themselves tied for 95th.
The Ladyjacks will be teeing off at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday to finish off the three-day tournament.
