93rd Annual Battle of the Piney Woods Tailgating Policy Released

NRG Stadium and LSSE to implement and enforce tailgating policy during BOTPW
HOUSTON - With the 93rd annual Battle of the Piney Woods football clash between east Texas rivals SFA and Sam Houston State at NRG Stadium set for Saturday, October 6, at 1:00 p.m., NRG Stadium and Lone Star Sports Entertainment (LSSE) have implemented and will be enforcing a new game day tailgating policy so that all fans can enjoy all that the Piney Woods rivalry - and NRG Stadium - has to offer.
All individuals who hold a game ticket will be allowed to set up and tailgate in the Blue Lot outside of NRG Stadium as early as 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning before the game's 1:00 p.m. kickoff and continue to tailgate until the end of the game as usual if they choose to not enter the stadium.
All individuals and groups who do not have tickets to the game are welcome to set up and tailgate in the Blue Lot outside of NRG Stadium as early as 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning before the game's 1:00 p.m. kickoff. Once the game kicks off, however, NRG Stadium tailgating ambassadors will be roaming the designated tailgating areas during the first quarter checking to make sure all individuals tailgating have purchased a ticket to the game. Any fans and individuals who do not have a game ticket, may purchase a $15 tailgating pass from NRG Stadium's roaming tailgate ambassadors during this time. Those tickets purchased from the ambassadors will allow fans to tailgate until the end of the game as usual, but will not allow them to enter the 93rd annual Battle of the Piney Woods game itself.
Fans who do not wish to purchase a ticket or a tailgate pass can tailgate in the Blue Lot of NRG Stadium until the 93rd annual Battle of the Piney Woods kicks off at 1:00 p.m.
