Leyvani Jumps 24 Spots on Individual Leaderboard at Golfweek Program Challenge

Senior Angelo Leyvani leads ‘Jacks on day two of tournament, shoots a 4-under 68 in second round
PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Senior Angelo Leyvani rose 24 spots on the individual leaderboard at the Golfweek Program Challenge in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, after shooting an impressive 4-under 68 Monday morning. His 18-hole performance led the Stephen F. Austin men's golf team in the second round of the tournament held at the True Blue Golf Club.
After carding an even-par 72 on the 6,926-yard course Sunday morning, Leyvani improved his opening-round score by four strokes to stand tied for 11th among 73 total golfers at the end of the day Monday. The Lumberjacks sit in seventh place in the team standings after shooting a 4-over 292 during round two but remain under par with a two-day tally of 3-under 573.
Fellow senior Jake Hendrix, who posted a 3-under 69 in Sunday morning's first round, shot a 3-over 75 in the second round and is tied for 30th on the individual leaderboard with an even-par 144. Sophomore Steven Fabik is likewise tied for 30th after turning in a 2-over 74 Tuesday morning, four strokes off his 2-under 70 shot in the opening round.
Freshman Isiah Henderson is tied for 35th with a two-round score of 1-over 145, carding a 3-over 75 for the second round after shooting a 2-under 70 in round one. Trent Lutze, who is also a freshman making his collegiate debut, matched his opening round score with his second consecutive 9-over 81. He holds a two-day total of 18-over 162.
Campbell continues to lead the 14-team tournament field with a two-round tally of 33-under 543 after recording a 14-under Monday morning. Gardner-Webb and Old Dominion both shot a 4-under 284 as a team in the second round as they stand in second and third place, respectively, with totals of 14-under 562 and 9-under 567.
Max Theodorakis of Campbell moved up 20 spots on the individual leaderboard with a tournament-low score of 9-under 63 in Monday morning's second round. He holds a two-day total of 11-under 133, while Campbell's Jesper Svensson and Jacksonville State's Thomas Burchmann are tied for second with two-round tallies of 9-under 135. Brett McLamb, who is an individual competitor for Campbell, is fourth with a two-day total of 8-under 136.
Tuesday morning's third and final round will conclude the Golfweek Program Challenge with a double-tee start off of holes one and 10. SFA is paired with Delaware and South Dakota for a 8 a.m. CST tee time. Lutze will get things started for the 'Jacks, followed by Henderson teeing off at 8:09 a.m., Fabik at 8:18 a.m., Hendrix at 8:27 a.m. and Leyvani at 8:36 a.m.
