Annual Meet the ‘Jacks to be Hosted at the Fredonia Hotel August 21

Fredonia Rotary Club to host 38th annual Meet the ‘Jacks Tuesday, Aug. 21 at the Fredonia Hotel
NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Fans and supporters of Stephen F. Austin athletics will get the chance to meet the Lumberjack football team at the 38th annual Meet the 'Jacks held Tuesday, Aug. 21. The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Fredonia Hotel and is sponsored by the Fredonia Rotary Club.
Admittance into Meet the 'Jacks is $15, which includes admission to the event, dinner and a chance to meet your favorite SFA football players. Tickets to the event can be purchased at the door the night of the event.
The 2018 Lumberjack football team will be introduced by their positions, followed by a first-hand look at this season's intro video. The 'Jacks will also be available for photos and will be signing autographs on SFA's posters.
SFA opens up its 2018 fall campaign Saturday, Sept. 1 with a trip to Starkville, Mississippi, to take on Southeastern Conference mainstay Mississippi State, before hosting NCAA Division II Tarleton State for the Lumberjacks' home opener on Saturday, Sept. 8. This year's home slate features four other games in Texas' oldest town, including Abilene Christian (Sept. 22), Central Arkansas (Oct. 13), Lamar (Oct. 27) and Northwestern State for the 53rd Battle for Chief Caddo (Nov. 15).
The 93rd edition of the Battle of the Piney Woods with historic rival Sam Houston State is set for Saturday, Oct. 6 in Houston, Texas, at NRG Stadium.
In addition to their season opener at Mississippi State, the 'Jacks will be making road trips to the University of the Incarnate Word (Sept. 15), McNeese (Sept. 29), Houston Baptist University (Oct. 20) and Nicholls (Nov. 10) this season.
