ABILENE, Texas – Trailing 2-0, the Stephen F. Austin women’s tennis team won three-straight singles matches to go up 3-2 but Abilene Christian captured triumphs in the fourth and fifth singles flights, sending the Ladyjacks to a 4-3 loss at Eager Tennis Pavillion on Saturday afternoon.

Dhanielly Quevedo notched SFA’s first team point with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Kaycie Hermsdorf in the second singles flight and Denise Maxl – playing in her second-straight number-one singles match – bested Erin Walker 6-2, 6-3 to pull SFA even.
Liza Aginskaya handled Andrea Crook 6-3, 6-3 in the sixth singles match, but the Ladyjacks lead was short lived as Vanesa Calvo Pardo surrendered her 1-0 lead and fell 1-6, 7-5, 6-2 to Whitney Williams in the fifth singles match.
Valeria Terentyeva battled back to tie the match point singles battle at one set all with a 6-3 win in the second, but Nada Marjanovic clinched the Wildcats’ win with a set three win.
