NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin head coach Amber Lemke today announced three additions to the Ladyjack bowling program, a class that includes two different states as well as Canada. Dakota Faichnie (Innisfil, Ontario, Canada), Sarah Gill (Attleboro, Massachusetts) and Sarah Voiers (Chesterton, Indiana) all signed National Letters of Intent during the fall signing period and will join the Ladyjacks in the fall of 2017.
"I'm very excited about all three of these ladies and what they will add to our program," Lemke said. "Each of them have strong backgrounds, competing at the highest level, and are eager to make their way to Texas. We are looking for them to continue to build on what the program has accomplished and keept it among the best in the nation."
Faichnie will become the first Canadian Ladyjack since Chelsea King, who also hailed from the province of Ontario. Gill is the first SFA signee from the state of Massachusetts while Voiers adds to the proven recruiting hotbed of Indiana, the home state of current Ladyjacks Paige Kraushaar and Carly Larson.
The three will join an SFA program that continues to establish itself as one of the top programs in the nation. The 2016 NCAA national champions, the Ladyjacks are currently ranked second nationally and have posted a record of 28-11, finishing in the top-seven of their first three tournaments of 2016.
