Tournament Field

Half of the field is currently ranked among the GolfStat Top-100, including SMU (No. 44), TCU (No. 45), Kansas (No. 60), Middle Tennessee State (No. 61), Kansas State (No. 62) and Missouri (No. 79). Arkansas-Little Rock, Central Arkansas, Florida Gulf Coast, Nebraska and Redlands C.C. join the Ladyjacks among the field.
Ladyjack Competitors
SFA, which returns the bulk of its lineup from 2014-15, is looking to make a splash in its first tournament of the year, led by junior Jessie White, the 2015 Southland Conference individual champion. Senior Sydney Reed, juniors Courtney Ford and Ann Holcomb and sophomore Jamee Jorgensen make up the SFA scorecard as White, Holcomb and Reed all posted sub-80 averages last season.
Last Time Out
SFA put the finishing touches on the most successful season in the five-year history of the program as the Ladyjacks finished a program-best fourth at the 2015 Southland Conference Championship with a 53-over 917. Jessie White capped her stellar spring season by posting a 4-over 220, the lowest 54-hole score in program history, to tie for first after regulation, then won a one-hole playoff to take home SFA’s first conference championship. She was named a first team All-SLC selection and was the SLC Women’s Golf Academic Player of the Year.
Looking Ahead
Following this week’s event in Manhattan, Kansas, SFA will have nearly three weeks off before playing in its second of five fall events. The Ladyjacks will next travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma, competing in the 2015 Oral Roberts Shootout on September 28-29, 2015.
