Series Finale Against Demons Cancelled

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin's series finale against border rival Northwestern State scheduled for today at 1 p.m. has been cancelled. The game will not be made up.
The heavy rains that passed through the Nacogdoches area have passed, but the remnants of the front left Jaycees Field unplayable. Standing water was visible throughout the field, especially in foul territories and by both team's dugouts. SFA and Northwestern State split the first two games of the series Friday with the Lumberjacks winning game one 5-3, followed by a 6-3 victory for the Demons.
SFA returns to Jaycees Field this Tuesday, March 24, for a one-game series against Big XII foe West Virginia. Opening pitch against the Mountaineers is scheduled for 2 p.m.
