Bowling Ranked Eighth in November NTCA Poll

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin remains in the nation’s top-10, sitting eighth in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) poll. The Ladyjacks dropped five spots from the October poll after beginning the season ranked third.
SFA notched a pair of top-10 showings in the first month of the 2015-16 season, opening the year with a fifth-place showing at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Invitational in Kenner, Louisiana. The Ladyjacks then placed eighth at the extremely competitive Fairleigh Dickinson New Jersey jamboree in North Brunswick, New Jersey, posting a 16-10 record through the two events.
SFA garnered 588 points to sit sixth, 32 points back of seventh-place Wisconsin-Whitewater. Arkansas State is the new number one, followed by Fairleigh Dickinson, Vanderbilt, Nebraska and Sam Houston State in the top-five. McKendree, Wisconsin-Whitewater, SFA, Central Missouri and Delaware State round out the top-10, giving the Southland Bowling League four representatives.
The Ladyjacks return to action the first weekend in December, traveling to Houston for the annual Sam Houston State Track Kat Klash. Competition gets underway Friday, December 4th, before concluding on Sunday, December 6th.
