NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin head coach Roberto Aspillaga announced the addition of Vivienne Kulicke to the women's tennis team on Monday afternoon.
“Vivi is an incredible student and had the chance to go to med school in Germany,” Aspillaga said. “Instead, she decided to come to SFA to play tennis and become a Ladyjack. She is one of the most improved players in Germany at the moment, and will impact our lineup and team culture immediately.”
Kulicke comes to the Ladyjacks from Hamburg, Germany. She is currently ranked No. 95 in the German Open Rankings. Her best career wins included victories over Katharina Holert (No. 680 WTA), Imke Schlunzen (No. 63 in Germany) and Julia Paetow (No. 71 in Germany).
SFA opens the 2015 slate on Friday, Jan. 23, with matches against Tarleton State and Midwestern State.
