2014 JMU Eagle Landing Invitational Final Results 
ORANGE PARK, Fla. - Stephen F. Austin moved up one spot over the final round of the 2014 JMU Eagle Landing Invitational, placing 13th among the 16-team field. The Ladyjacks shot a 26-over 314 in round three, closing out the three-day event with a 70-over 934.
Freshman Piper Kyle notched the second top-20 showing of her young career, tying for 20th among the individual standings with a 9-over 225 (73-72-80), closing out the event with an 8-over 80 in round three. It marks the lowest 54-hole score of Kyle's career, besting her previous best of 226.
Sophomores Mackenzie Steiner and Sydney Reed matched Kyle's 8-over 80 as Steiner tied for 57th overall with a 20-over 236 (78-78-80). She finished four shots ahead of Reed (76-84-80) with freshman Ann Holcomb carding the lowest round of the day with a 4-over 76, en route to a 27-over 243 (83-84-76). Senior Aliece Anderson shot a 6-over 78 after withdrawing in round two.
Entering the day in 14th-place, SFA was able to leapfrog Richmond (77-over 941), which fell to 15th in the final team standings. The Ladyjacks also maintained their lead over UNC-Greensboro (73-over 937), which placed 14th overall.
Elon had the low round of the day to capture the team title with a 28-over 892, besting second-place Georgia State (32-over 896) by four strokes. Delaware (35-over 899) finished third with Southern Illinois (37-over 901) and Daytona State College (39-over 903) rounding out the top-five.
After a pair of tournaments this week, SFA steps out of tournament play this week, making the trip to Huntsville for a match play event against rival Sam Houston State on Friday, March 21st.
