Thursday evening's NFL exhibition between the Cleveland Browns and St. Louis Cardinals pitted several former Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack teammates against each other. Former All-American linebacker Jabara Williams is a member of the Rams, while 2012 All-Americans Josh Aubrey and Cordell Roberson are trying to make the cut with the Browns.
The Browns' SFA duo left an impression on the outcome of the contest that saw Cleveland record a 27-19 victory in front of their fans. Aubrey finished the game tied for team-high honors with four tackles, including two solo stops, from his safety position. Roberson hauled in only one pass, but he made it count. Roberson's first reception for the Browns went 26 yards for the touchdown.
Another former Lumberjack All-American will be in action tonight attempting to make an NFL roster. Willie Jefferson has impressed the Texans defensive coaching staff throughout camp, and will look to continue that tonight as the Texans take on Minnesota in Minneapolis.
